THE TEAM

 

Rafael Portillo is Professor of English Studies at the University of Sevilla, Spain, where he was first appointed as junior lecturer in 1978. He was previously a member of staff at the universities of Salamanca, Spain (1972-75) and Edinburgh, Scotland (1975-78). His main fields of research are Theory and Practice of Theatre and Drama; Medieval, Renaissance and Restoration Drama; Shakespeare Studies. He has directed and/or acted in numerous amateur university theatre productions, and has written several short plays for teenagers.

Juan A. Prieto-Pablos is Associate Professor of English Studies at the University of Sevilla, Spain, since 1980, where he teaches Text Analysis and Renaissance Literature. His main fields of research are Stylistics and Literary Theory, Renaissance and Restoration Literature.

Manuel J. Gómez-Lara is Associate Professor of English Studies at the University of Sevilla, Spain, where he was first appointed as junior lecturer in 1980. He has also taught at the departments of Communication Studies in the Universities of Northwestern (1991) and Seattle (1998). His main fields of research are Stylistics; Medieval, Renaissance and Restoration Drama; public ceremonies and the Rhetoric of Cities; and popular Spanish music.

María José Mora is Associate Professor of English Studies at the University of Sevilla, Spain, since 1987, where she teaches Medieval and Renaissance Literature, which are also her main fields of research.
